Mine was the same when it was delivered. Before he went all he done was disconnect the battery for 10 mins and it all reset itself. Been fine ever since

The vehicle was misfiring a bit. I took it for a run and the misfiring stopped and it then ran fine. i have just been out to it and started it again and the EML has now gone out.

Not according to the trip computer. We spoke to a chap at our local peugeot dealers and he is going to take a look tomorrow. he thinks it is probably a electrical connector that is not quite plugged in.

They think it was the earth terminal on the battery a little loose.

Earth terminal won't cause it to go into limp mode. The battery light will come on.

It hasn't had the fault again yet. I have a diagnostics tool but it doesn't work on all the different cars that we have.

Why all the past tense? It is only 2 years old. It is running great. We don't do huge miles though. It has done about 40,000 so far. The only problem that we have had is with the electric side steps. They keep getting damaged on kerbs and things.
