When you do need parts check the Mondeo prices, they're often cheaper for the identical part.

Jags never had much footwell space, hence most were auto's (just 2 pedal, stop/go), personally I wouldnt rung a Jag as a normal PH/hack, just not enough space in them

have heard them called John Deere Jaguars, very unkind I thought

I had a Vauxhall front wheel drive car that didnt need the engine/box out or split to change the clutch, took about 2 hours going gentle and about £50 in bits

The flywheel and clutch are both cheaper on the X-Type than the Mondeo
Probably make up for it in the labour costs though

I had a Cavalier like that, just take the passenger side wheel off and "BOOM" there was the clutch housing.

you only needed a set of good compressing clamps for the clutch and bendy fingers, what a shame its not a feature on cars now, along with solid flywheels
