anyone bought a car form a salvage dealer then? my mate just bought a fiat ducato 7 seater (?) for £2500, side caved in with a few other odds & ends needed fixing, cost him £1000 to fix altogether , so got a 09 plate 7seater with 110,000 miles on for £3500  its a cracking motor for the money mind, had to go to Essex from Newcastle to collect though, so canny deal, after all its only for ferrying pi££ed up knackers about at the end of the day, might get one when i need a car

Some Councils wont plate a previously written off car.

some damaged vehicles arent recorded and arent on the Vcar register, big hire fleets sometimes just stand the loss themselves

id risk "unrecorded/light damage" but TBH they arent much cheaper than a straight motor

Co part have got some melting deals on at the moment. Sadly the prices are being increased by the Travellers who buy anything. A lad who owns a garage I take my car to bought a Mondeo TDCI Titanium with slight pillar damage for £2200, a quick turnaround made him nearly £300 profit.

No it was only 18 months old. The above should have said £3000 profit.
