Mins the Greenline 2. You never see them for sale, is there a reason for that?

Im about to empty my tank, I'll post how many miles I've done on the tank. Paid about £1.13 per litre at Asda. Not overly impressed with the MPG really although I am with he car in general. Its great on slow motorway journeys hovering around 55/60mpg, but who goes slow? If I am going 75/80 I can be down in the low 30's. Nice car if you do lots of motorway miles, but don't pickup enough for the constant stop start life of a taxi. I miss my auto badly.

Ive been thinking of putting it up for sale and going for a 2.0 DSG. Anybody got one, and what are you getting? Seen a lovely one with 197k on, 13 reg, full Skoda history, and under 5k. Would you touch one with that high a milage on?

A friend of mine has the superb greenline (105bhp) and he says the same thing, pretty gutless and eats the fuel if you're in a hurry. Not sure how good the DSG boxes are at that mileage but the engine should be fine. £5000 is still a lot for a four year old car with 200,000 on the clock though. Not a bad buy for a private car but as a taxi, I'm not so sure.

Those DSG boxes are 4/5k on eBay too. Feck that.

Could have had an ex-exec E-Class, 2011, full Merc SH, 250k....for £5000 a while back but the miles put me off.

I've even considered selling the Skoda and buying and Insignia auto and stick the extra 2k where its more needed, like my bank account. Anybody drive an Insigina? Had one for hire and liked it, but are they durable?

30mpg at 75mph? towing a twin axle Wieppert caravan?

I get 600+ on a full tank without sweating, and only use Shell or BP, and half the time the premium diesel.

But im looking to treat myself to a 275bhp Jag.... well, you only live once

Well I do love my Greenline, but its up for sale before its even become a taxi. Anybody in the market for one then let me know. Good car, good price. Full Skoda history

I've just bought a DSG Superb to taxi instead.
