How reliable are the first generation Mercedes Vito Taxis Euro4?
what are the main faults too look out for?
What sort of fuel average do they give on average driving?

One of our guys just bought a Euro 5 and is selling his Euro 4 at a good price, New cab prices are too high for me to afford at the moment.

MK council wont licence a HC over 5 years. So if i buy he will have to sell me his wich the plate and he will licence his Euro 5 on my plate

Its a 2009 59 KPM Vito Taxi
290k Miles

Anyone can give me info in what to look out for and any upcoming expenses i will be facing.

As i cant afford a newer cab and cant afford for any major random issues.

Kpm are better inside than a Scottish one.A few of our lads have got them and are reasonably happy with them.

I think a motor that has done that amount of miles is always close to breaking down and costing a fortune.

I would suggest you try hard to put some money aside just in case.

Plus many LA's are now requiring Euro 6 diesels, they are also CAZ/ULEZ compliant

The main thing to watch out for on these is the ‘Black Death’ leaking injector problem. If the injectors haven’t been replaced, budget for £1,000 for parts plus fitting!
