Our Council has changed it's home to School taxi policy, where there were once several dozen School taxi contracts to tender for now their is only 14 for our entire huge region, I think they are using the Carbon footprint argument to cut down on taxis but how the hell Buses will get round all those tiny farm "C" roads is beyond me, especially if i'ts just for one child, I sense logistical a disaster in the making.

I have'nt even seen the Tenders for School Buses appear yet so what the hell they are playing at I've no Idea.....But I'm sensing some darker forces are at play here.

One more year and I reach retirement age, but I had hoped to work beyond it on a lesser basis....this might hasten my departure though.

These kids are still requiring transport so where are the Tenders?

B&H council tried playing games a few years back in an attempt to reduce the amount it paid out to the taxi/PH trade.

Think it ended up costing them about 3 or 4 million more.

I’m in pre retirement, I wouldn’t recommend anybody to be a taxi driver, I think we had the best years.

I think the trade has got a good future.

Mass EU immigration leading to suppressed wages is a thing of the past.

And the new tax registration protocol will also help no end.
