Lovely car but needs windscreen, cambelt and has EML on, only worth scrap value

They’re a great car. I’ve got one of the last made, a 2005 high line estate 1.9 tdi 130. 120,000 miles full service history and not a spot of rust anywhere. 50mpg, no DPF no hassle.

Is that the same motor (ish) as the Skoda Octavia?

I had one in 2000 and loved the car.

I think the early octavia’s had the tdi engine. In either 90bhp or 110bhp. The PD engines that came later were better again, although quite noisy and with a narrow power band.

I had one of those 1.9l Octavias....it was a pocket rocket.

This had an engine North/South and gearbox East/West...

(if that makes sense)
