 Post subject: petrol vs diesel?

doing 43mpg in a petrol Karoq unleaded is £1.59/ltr

my diesel passat did 56mpg diesel is now £1.79/ltr

They dont take prisoners down there, up here diesels at £1.649 /ltr.

That makes your passat about £2.40 per hundred miles cheaper to run than the Skoda.

is the 1.5 TFSi a chain cam 250k miles, belts are 100 or 5 years?

not had it on a run, just urban so far

But If your doing around 25'000 miles a year your saving some £650 a year by running a diesel.....that offsets the other costs.

the Karoq is doing 120 miles a week...

even when i had my own school it was only 600 miles x 39 per year at the very most in the passat
