It's now 3 years since Livingstone imposed on the London trade emission systems costing £2,000.

Are they working?
What's your experience?
Any tips to reduce smoke ie additives.
How are drivers who had the now bankrupt Van Aaken system faring?
Are you using more fuel, getting more or less power or torque?

i had the conversion done to my cab about 2 years ago, i went for the taxicat system which was a replacement of the complete exhaust system.

The cab runs ok but seems to make more noise, i can't say i've noticed any difference in the consumption but it's certainly slower and has less pull when going uphill.

To be honest the whole conversion nonsense was a scandal and was really about one megalomaniac trying to score political points from a group he considered to be an easy target for such shenanigans.

I await the day the death of that comtemptable, arrogant, loathesome, biggoted and corrupt individual is announced in the media..........i for one will be holding a party.

I was amazed when I went back to London after an abscence of quite a few years to see the damage that buffon Livingstone had done to it.Signs all over the place for this area and that area, don't do this and don't do that.
With the difficulties of trying to find someone who spoke English when I got a bit lost I never actually got time to take a detour to West Ham where I was born to have a look round,if the rest of the place is anything to go by,it's probably just as well I didn't.

I agree Livingstone was very unpopular with the Taxi trade (the exception being the T&G & Cab Trade News) but also unpopular with Londoners from all walks of life.
Boris didn't win the London mayoral election,Londoners wanted Livingstone OUT.

And that dirty mac he wore didn't help either...
