Location: Sunny Essex.
About once a month when I start the (warm) engine I get a clattering sound.
I immediately stop,try again, the noise has gone and the engine,as always starts on the first turn.
What, if anything, is wrong.
Does the bendix drive need cleaning/lubricating,if so,how?

Location: Used to be in Lowestoft,now escaped.
Possibly a bad spot on the ring gear and the starter doesn't engage properly.If it only happens very infrequently it will probably carry on like it for years.
