I was just driving along in my 406 and the engine has stopped. All the dash lights come on but there is nothing there when I turn the key. Any ideas?

Had the same thing happen me once in a Citroen C5 1.6 diesel...driving along happily....then everything lit up on dash and car died. Odd thing was after about 5 minutes it started no problem and never did it again...thats the weird world of Electronic engine management systems i guess.. :-k

Had a similar problem with my 406 a couple of years back.

I had 3 mechanics look at it, had the Diesel Pump cahnged twice and eventually had to get rid off it for £500, If working the car ws easily worth around £2000.

Afterwards someone suugested I should have tried buying anther EGC - sometimes available on ebay and worth a try.
