Aly, just compare them on line check the fuel consumptions
The VW auto is not to big a problem if you can get the DSG box instead of the full auto one
One owner down here was getting around 25 mpg with the full auto he changed it to the one with the DSG and is getting 30 plus

The VW will be cheaper to own and run and you can get the wav version if required

You know what this is a really hard decision to make, i own a lwb vw t5 with a 2.5 tiptronic engine its top spec, electric doors, clubclass exec seating etc, its a 2007 plate and i have to be honest its killing me at the minute on fuel.

if you can afford a 10plate get one, they are alot better for fuel than all the t5 models before.

if i could trade my t5 in right now for a viano i would, business's prefer the mercedes badge, they might be abit slower, but the interior in the mercedes models is just so much more superior than the t5, thats just what i think though sayin that the only thing i like about the t5 is it doesnt look like a frog at the front its abit more beefier than the merc.

whatever you choose be lucky mate

but you know what go buy a gmc van spray it black put a red stripe down it i dont fly no planes foooooooool :D

Just be happy that weather you choose a Merc or Dub your still getting a lot more mileage than a TX4
