 Post subject: Name of this part?

What's the name of this part? It's next to the battery, on the right when facing the engine from the front. On the left on the photo, the black battery can be seen.

I don't know but the black bit looks like a button that can be pushed in, so perhaps some sort of cutoff/reset switch ?

what it is.. is a Air/ vacuum operated relay... if your alternator stops ( fan belt snaps) your handbrake light will come on...

That is a E.G.R vacum control solenoid the little one above it is the one which turns on the light if you lose vacum when your alternator belts goes or if you are losing vacum.
