Sorry questions always questions, Bonnet when closed has about an inch of play or bounce. Is this normal? Have tried tightening and loosening catch, but it will not move.

Theres a nut on each stay,the pole thingys.loosen nut then the poles are on threads to adjust(wd40 required) bonnet should sit on rubber dampers
