Hi all, my car was punched! Normally I would explain how and why, but on here you all know how and why.

Anyway it's left the car with a crack in the paintwork on passenger rear door. Nothing to big, maybe a cm at most. Any advice on ways to cover it or protect it from water or rust etc

If it's the paint itself that's cracked it will eventually flake off as the bond has been broken. You could try a clear lacquer "touch up" pen for a fiver from halfords.
