 Post subject: Mondeo Brakes

My pal has a mondeo and is asking me for advice on a hissing noise that seems to come from the brake pedal area every now and again??
It also occurs with the engine breaking speed?
Anyone had this before.

I'm not familiar with the mondeo, but sounds like the brake servo or the hose attached to it is leaking.

Sounds like an escaped snake to me.

Thanks anyway it was the servo vacuum unit.
