You could fit a drivers seat into the passenger side if you wanted...

What subframe would you suggest? A drivers' side? I have a stock "new" drivers seat, but needs a bit of "height" added. L reg Fairway Driver

STOP !!!!

theres no need to replace the seat any more we are making a new drivers seat base with extra foam
when you sit on one of our drivers seat bases you wonder why you suffered sitting on a board, these seat bases fit exactly, all you need to do is unscrew the 2 screws on the front and fit in reverse
if anyone is intrested in a new ISRI drivers seat base please Email me mbcovers@ymail.com or send me PM on here

I've used a fairway as a run around for some years.I couldn't find any insurance company that would insure it with an added passenger seat.I was told by one that they might do if I could produce an engineers report when completed but even though I'm qualified to provide one myself I'll have to pay someone else who they approve of to provide one and even then there was still no guarantee they'd insure it.
What a load of crap
I cant be bothered.

They Insure home made kit cars..and they all have seats added, I reckon some insurers just cant be arsed to think outside of mainstream vehicle Insurance.
