Hello people, only been PH driver for 6 months and I'm getting really fed up with the state of my car. It seems that I am having to hoover it out every other day. Are the customers really that dirty? . I was just wandering if anybody had any tips of how to keep the car really nice and clean, inside and out. I drive a Vauxhall Omega if that makes any difference.

. I was just wandering if anybody had any tips of how to keep the car really nice and clean, inside and out. I drive a Vauxhall Omega if that makes any difference.get some decent seat covers and floor mats. i have the fake leather covers in mine and they look great and are dead easy to clean with a quick wipe with a damp cloth. go for some decent rubber floor mats, front and rear. then you just need to give them a shake out and wipe once a day and a proper clean once a week. if you want car colour matching carpet mats then get two sets, as they quickly get wet and grubby in this wet weather. have one "in the wash" and drying while you got the other in the car. Also spray them with fabreeze for a nice smell. for the normal carpet coving the floor and sills, give it a good clean and then get some scotchguard. then if they get dirty you just brush and vac and they'll as good as new. scotchguarded mine last xmas and still stays clean. |

I was looking at these at Kevin Coopers the other day. Are they a good fit for the seats or do the 'sag' a bit in the join? |

i got the £40 odd quid one from argos in my mondeo. they are over 18 months old and still look good. the one on the rear bench seat does tend to sag a little but thats just from all those punter getting in and out and sliding across the seat. i normally have to pull it tighter a couple times a week but its a job that takes literally seconds to do. never had to do the rear back rest one or either of the front ones. i have a small tin of silicone spray that i put on to a cotton cloth and give it a wipe over now and again. gives it a nice proper leather looking shine and that squeeky bum noise as the ladies get out

Hello Paul, Like Steve, I have also got the fake leather covers but I got mine from that trade place I think it is called Maxess or similar. Anyway they are the same, or almost the same as the Argos one's and they were 9 quid. Been in the car for 6 months and are still perfect, and not noticible sag at all. Also got the mats at the same place, very cheap, really heavy duty, soak up all wet weather no prob and completly cover the floor of the car. (Mondeo) I have no prob with the inside of the car whatsoever, it's the bloody outside, like the crap red colour that shows every bit of dirt, and the b**t**d person that has driven so close to my parked up car that they have left a mirror mark all along the side. Apart from that, I'm cool

I've heard a few drivers talking about this place. Where is it?. Is it just for taxi drivers? I thought it was Coxside/Cattedown area, so I've driven around there a few times to no avail. I need some new car mats and maybe seat covers and don't want to pay Halfords or even Kevin Cooper prices |

A set of mats for a Vauxhall front and back are £20 for the full set up here. |

Macacess is on the parkway industrial estate. its on st. Modwen road down the road from underwoods who fit the wiring for the radio/datapad/meter. go past the BMW showroom and its at the bottom of the hill. they do a good range of window stickers too. that reminds me, i best get down there myself this week to get the new motor sorted out. |

Cheers for that Steve. They didn't fit my wiring, that was done at Plymouth Car Sound behind the office. I'll pop down tomorrow and see what goodies they have. |
