TX4 ownership requires money to be thrown at it.

He's just gloating because he's managed to effectively ruin the Edinburgh taxi trade, it might take a while to prove me right but the day will come when it just won't be worth being a cabby in that city anymore, and he'll realise it would've been a better idea to have just either kept the one he had originally or bought back in, before long someone else will be cracking that joke about his cash bag as he approaches a full rank and is waved on be a marshall.

back to that old chestnut boring!!
around 70 apps so far most of whom already drive for someone else
thats around 5% increase probably far less in real terms, seems quality controls do work.
tell me doom what quality controls do you have both driver and veicle do you have a topographical test in youre area for example health and saftey modules, anger management, wheelchair assistance etc etc :?:
btw i rarely use ranks plenty sud in edinburgh if you go looking for it rather than expect the work to come to you.

going to a full rank however when you have to find £250>£350 a week in rental really [edited by admin] me of though, thankfully that will never happen again.
no more long and unsafe hours for minimal wage for me and quite a few others

problem in edinburgh is that the money that is thrown at new vehicles come directly from the drivers pocket, and not the owners.the driver had no input and no choice pay for my new taxi and radio dues or [edited by admin] off

Well down here the max pay for a 24/7 car is £280, although there are 2 saloons available right now for £200pw 24/7 as it's so rubbish, I had a PH driver tonight tell me how bad it is on the largest PH firm we have, and even if we bow'd to you it would still cost an owner £230pw to run his own car without a radio, which as it stands is £60pw for a freelance hack, £120 for a PH, so £280 with a radio and no risk sorta looks good value from where I stand Ali, but you won't be happy until a free car is supplied with no fees and refills itself will you, power to the ppl eh Wolfie.

i dont think you have a very open mind do you mr doom.
ive said it loads of times, i put £50 a week away per car for maintinance.and that turned out to be far to much money(i was left with a large lump sum at the end despite doing more than was required)
£25 for insurance and road tax pw
and maybe you can begin to see why i think your all rip off merchants or to thick to see your getting ripped and passing it onto the driver
as it stands i have no loans to repay no plate or taxi to finance.
in short mr doom im doing it right and your doing it wrong.

not that i care! its your business what you pay out
but i always find it strange that ppl try to justify spending more than is required, days gone by ppl used to be more shrewd and would actively hunt out bargains, seems to be a problem in society in general and more so in the taxi trade that the more you can claim to spend (30k taxis £50k plates)the richer and more powerfull you are.
youve got to admit the systems beutifull, the way the meek are sheparded by the powerfull.

isnt it strange the way ppls minds are manipulated in this way.

oh before you go there!
same standard

you lot crack me up,more of this self indulgent justification pash.

do you think ppl without plates are stupid.
and getting a plate suddenly elevates you to business man,yeh 30k taxi 50k plate
your a funny mr doom

Why do you keep on answering your own questions Ali yer irriot

Just because your LA allows you to run old cheap cars doesn't mean everyone else's does, in an area where there are age restrictions to own and op a WAV it is going to cost the average non mechanical minded driver £200 - £250 plus radio fees pw if he needs a radio.

Why should I hand mine back, I bought it so I had a job for life, I've no intent to sell it for any profit, unlike you I might add, I've been serving my public for well over twenty years now with clean modern vehicles.

I got in because I accepted that you had to put the folding down to get in, and before you carry on I could've gotten issued a free one at the time if I wanted.

I can't be here night and day just incase you answer.

Bigot, that is about the best you've got isn't it Betty Friedan

Yeah sweet Ali :D

The reason I bought in was because the saloon could be replaced for 7-10k each time rather than 23k for a WAV, what I paid for the plate and the cost of my following 2 cars came to the same as a WAV, which had to be new at 1st licence to get a plate.

Have you a left handed screwdriver, a bag of plastic nails and a long weight by any chance? you'll certainly have one of those three before long when all those new plates arrive
