Really thought I'd find this subject covered on here already... I know (as I have seen pics) that someone out there makes fibreglass wings for TXs. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks.[/b]

T & S motorfactors in Liverpool used to do them for fairways, perhaps you could give them a call?

They do have a site, but it's one of those, as is too often the case, 'under construction' affairs. I'll ring them when I have a chance.

The wings on fairways seem to rot pretty quickly along with the rest of the body.I'd have thought LTI would have improved things with the fairways replacement.
Have they?

Tried calling T&S but they only do steel wings now. Much cheaper than M&O, but not as cheap as a brilliant supplier of taxi parts... www.londontaxiparts.com

Clever little script that, Nigel. Albeit somewhat sarcastic and patronising ;-) And as Bacons... said... Great for aeroplanes!

Thanks for the link, wannabee... but already been there; and chatted to the guy: No joy.

Back to Bacons... The problem I've discovered with the TX wings is thus: The plastic inner wing/liner that does a wonderful job of stopping all the crap getting where it shouldn't... Isn't unfortunately a brilliant fit! When it pops out of it's own accord due to bumps in the road, or when you have to fairly drag it out to do maintenance, it takes the micro-thin paint off the inner lip of the wheel arch. And hence the rust starts!

Thanks for the link and the explanation.
It seems like LTI didn't learn much at all from the fairways.

I tried the link given above for some bumper blades for my fairway.Very quick delivery and decent quality for the price.
You can't beat a bit of bling.
