My Fiat Scudo taxi (scotcab) 17 months old and booked in for a service at fiat thursday 8th (today)
Booked service on monday but neighbour spotted some oil spots where i was parked and as he is a mechanic lood under the bonnet. He looked and spotted where he thought leak was from (oil cooler) so phoned fiat and they said bring it in and we can try and look at it asap!
They did service yesterday and told me leak was traced back to the turbo which was on order and under warranty and would be ready (today) sometime! Called at 4-30 and was told "vehicle is stripped and waiting for authorisation from fiat to continue! "
WHY the hell should they wait? It is a 2 year unlimited miles bumper to bumper warranty!!
I could have hired a car if i thought i wan't getting it back!
Anyway phoned up fiat customer services and they couldnt find any record of a warranty claim against my reg?
Do you think garage are using this as an excuse for it not to be ready?
Told to phone at 1 pm friday (better be ready cause i can't afford the weekend off as well!

I hope you get your motor back, but I think you should thank your lucky starts the turbo went within the warranty.

£1000 including fitting, which is a long job cos it's tucked right behind the engine, and everything has got to come out.
