Hello all,

Me again with the Fairway Driver 1997. Thanks everyone for you help with the brake light problem found out that there was a short which was blowing 30 amp fuses etc so got the brake lights wired direct from the pedal as opposed to through the doors etc.

But as the saying goes when it rains it pours, got one problem sorted then another one happens. I need to get under the bonnet to get the wire going to the starter motor put back in (as it pops out when going over pot holes etc - another job to sort out) as I went to open the bonnet from using the bonnett pull from the inside front passenger area (next to the door) I pulled on the bonnet pull and the cable snapped!! Is there any way I can get the bonnet open from where the catch is at the front, as I think that the cable has snapped with the bonnet in the locked position. Therefore I cannot lift the bonnet up.

Please help I need to get home tonight...

Lay on your back if front of the cab with your right hand feel at the back of the bonnet catch on the drivers side.At the back you should feel where the cable attaches to the catch.(there's a spring on the opposite side to the cable) Its high up and the projection points towards the radiator.Push it towards the middle of the car and the bonnet should release.
