anyone know where they can be sourced
lti have explained that the reason for short supply problems is the manufacturer who supplied lti have gone bust but the should be avialable mid march.

the only other options are weld them(poor)
or replace the hubs, spring plates, ball joints and shocky with tx2 ones(expensive)

has anyone had the same problem, and came up with any other solutions or suppliers ?

well it looks like im sorted

these cant be obtained anywhere discontinued

so i purchased the newer ones.

with the intention of welding a leg onto the front.
now that i have these on close inspection it looks to me like these new ones are in fact the old ones with the legs cut off,and a flat piece with screw hole welded in to replace where the leg used to be,(the welds are clearly visible) to match up with the dog leg kink in the newer lower wishbone and ball joint

despicable what these companies will do.

there are many out there with the same prob don't listen to the dealer who will tell you they are miles different, there not' all you need is access to a welder and a couple of pieces of 3 mm angled steel.

Simple solution to all that, buy a newer motor.

dont be daft.
why would i scrap a perfectly good motor for the sake of an £18 part.
besides the tx1 was the best example of lti's efforts.

by your logic all rover cars should be scraped when they went bust

btw this will effect all metro tttt's as well

When you have supply difficulties for any LTI or Metrocab part, always try T & S Motor Factors in Liverpool.

They supply many repair garages throughout the country, including into London.

They got me out the crap a few months ago with the correctly rated coil springs for my Metrocab.

Not anymore they don't . . . the one has retired & the other has left the programme & signed a £3m deal with an Internet auction site.

tried t&s and everyone else

they are discontinued parts.
and they will be a big problem for perfectly good ttt's and early tx1's.
as this component is beginning to go on most of them.

they new ones are the same minus the leg at the front,as i said a simple fix or scrap the motor.

Arthur Negus has been dead over twenty five years,so he'd not have known much about TX1's.
