has any one heard or had bother with headlight bulbs blowing on a new style fiat scudo at least once a month its getting annoying now ive tryed different bulbs but dont seem to last very long

get your electrics checked, see if the voltage is too high

My E7 goes through headlight bulbs at such a rate I buy them 10 at a time.

I think you will agree that they are a pile of sh!t! having said that, mine does not go through them at that rate of knots.

If it is that bad you need to get it checked out as they are not cheap.

Takes about 15 Min's a side to convert, no more blown bulbs, and if one should go they do replacements

In the Department's view it is not legal to sell or use after market HID lighting kits, for converting conventional Halogen headlamps to HID Xenon. If a customer wants to convert his vehicle to Xenon HID he must purchase completely new Xenon HID headlamps. The reason for this is that the existing lens and reflector are designed around a Halogen filament bulb, working to very precise tolerances. If one places a HID "burner" (bulb) in the headlamp, the beam pattern will not be correct, there will be glare in some places and not enough light in other places within the beam pattern.

Haven't had to change one of mine for about 6 months now, same goes for the sidelight bulbs. Now that I've said that, they'll probably blow tonight. Only ones I seem to go through more are the brake light bulbs but considering they're on and off every time you touch the brakes, I suppose it's understandable. BTW you'll probably notice that when headlamp bulbs blow it's when you switch them on, it's the sudden surge of power that blows them. As already said, get your alternator checked and make sure it's not giving out more than 14 volts with engine running.

BTW it's imperative that you do not touch the glass when handling and fitting a halogen bulb. The residue from your fingers will create a hotspot and will reduce the bulb life.
