My late father drove a London Taxi TX1.

When I attended his home I found that his taxi was unlocked so I located the keys and locked it in order to secure it. A matter of days later I tried to gain access to the taxi in order to take a note of the mileage but it wouldn't unlock. The key doesn't seem to work in neither the driver's door, passenger's door or the boot?

I am baffled at how 3 days after I used the key to lock the taxi, the same key is unable to unlock it?

They key is not a remote fob, just a regular car key. I have been unable to locate an electric fob key.

Could the battery have run flat and would that affect the central locking system?

Any input would be greatly appreciated

you don't need a fob to open the door just the key. try turning the key the opposite way round. you'll also find that most keys will lock a TX one... but only the right key will open it. check from more keys
