My gas pedal has become really heavy overnight, I parked on my driveway last night and all was fine, however this morning it was really heavy (only when the engine was on) and it hasn't gotten any lighter all day.

When the engine is off and I'm parked up the pedal goes to floor like I was used to. But when it's running it's really heavy to push it down?

Any ideas

is it a cable throttle or fly-by-wire?

some Kia's had a problem with the throttle body end sticking, but i cant find a recall for the Rio's

it gave the same results you speak of
