I had a prob with clutch pedal on Sunday (had to be with a punter on board). went to floor and didn't come back. managed to lift it with my foot and change gear, right up to about 20yds from drop off and then no gear selection at all. eusasmiles.zip

upshot of that was car pushed to side, punter walked away without paying, mumbling about "taxi ride from hell, (WTF?) and me getting lift home.

car towed in to garage and after stripping the clutch pedal assembly down, (a spring was found unattached) the diagnosis was "master cylinder is kaput". part ordered, delivery tomorrow and hopefully me back on road as soon as it's back.

no idea of total cost, as yet, (not usual garage) :?

yesterday was T2 due to local holiday and another driver took great pleasure in telling me how good it was due to "not many cars being out" (chunt that he is)

oh well, another smirnoff and crabbies to dull the pain

It cost me £70 for the part and £65 fitting last month when mine did the same thing
I managed to get to the house and called the AA to get me to the garage
