Be careful you don't crack the manifold when taking it off.

You'll be able to see it from underneath, You have to take some of the plastic air piping off to get at it, a real pig of a job. Looking from underneath it's high on the top left close to the bulkhead as you face the front of the cab. If you still have the plastic mudshields on your cab, you'll have to take them off to see it or get at it.

the winner of the 2011 award for "Where can we fit a useless item which fails every 20,000 miles and cost £400"

Pull the bulb, or find someone with VDS or Vagcom, and get it put off permanently, like you can with any VW, skoda :D
This what I use

Red lights were made MOT failures 01/01/12.

Yellow lights clearly are not.

Would the EGR valve cause the intermittent problem that I have been having on my E7 for the past year or so!

The cab drives normal around the City! If I go on a run it can from time to time drop into something like limp mode i.e the power starts dropping off making hill/slope climbs very much hard work, the same on flat roads. During a journey I have turned off the ignition whilst travelling (no other traffic around) and restarted it within a couple of seconds i.e 2/3 seconds - the cab then runs as it should. But! it is a right pain and I am wondering what damage is being done to the engine.
