As ever the sh!t fairies have struck, they do not work on a Monday or a Tuesday during quiet part of the month, they really like to go for the jugular - lets do it on the 24th December at 4.40am that should really f%*k him up .Anyway having got that off of my chest - and NO I am not feeling any better for it Does anyone know as to whether I need a 13 mill OR a 16 mill depth ( I think they are referring to the flywheel) on my E7 06 version. To fill anyone in that is interested - I first of all picked up on a noise that I was not familiar with, but the cab and clutch was driving okay. a while later I stopped and noticed that a light cloud of smoke was coming from beneath the bonnet, unfortunately I could not see where it was coming from but could smell burning. I tried driving off but the clutch pedal went straight to the floor and did not come back up - the clutch pedal was pulled back up by hand, and there it stayed absolutely rigid, it would not move. So! does anyone have any idea as to what I need - where is best to get it and how much am I looking at.Putting things into perspective, and this is how I remain relatively sane (of a fashion) I thank my lucky stars that I do not live in Iraq, Syria and other countries that have real things to worry about. Having said that if the sh!t fairies are around - they are still having it. |

Sounds like it might be the cable thats snapped, the smoke was from being stood on the brakes whilst the clutch was effectively still engaged (although that alone probably knackered the clutch anyway) - did the vehicle seem harder to stop ? Saying that if that was the case I'm surprised you didn't stall. Just guessing, but that might be why the pedal didn't come back up. As an afterthought on Citroen Xantias the cable was attached to the pedal with a plastic clip, these had a habit of breaking, being a Peugeot there could be a similar arrangement. |

From personal experience, on the Fiat version, you will not notice the difference. |

Just wondering. ![]() Both cars were just used for school runs by the same drivers that had been driving them for 2 years prior to the clutches needing to be changed. They tried to pull the "it's being used as a taxi so the warrenty is void" But in the end they changed them again and There have been no problems since. That was at least 2 years ago now. So I would say it was defective parts or poor instalation. |

"Private and personal useage only, no commercial application" The warrenty was fine with mine. They knew that the cars were taxis by the council plates and top sign. |
