Post subject:  Octavia sounds like a 2 stroke
Had to pack in on new years morning due to engine sounding like it was running on 3 cylinders
To try and describe the sound its a cross between a stick in a bike wheel and the engine on a canal boat
Anyone had a similar experience and what was the cause injector or timing belt tension-er
Car 1.9 tdi 105 BHP

Just had the AA out and he said that the exhaust is blowing back through the air intake so its a garage job
could be one of 3 things sticky valve, injector, or egr :sad:
And not to drive it, as if its the valve and it breaks it will cause more damage
