Yes, I know the heaters aren't up to much on the older Fairways, looks like the typical Smiths heater box fitted to quite a few old british cars of the 50's and 60's.

.....I've had my fan out, cleared, a few leaves found nothing much though, but still the air output is really little more than a very gentle puff....windscreen misting up in rain....yes, tubes that run to the demisting vents are connected to the heater output flanges.

.....is this as good as it gets?

PS been to London 3 times over the last few weeks without seeing a Fairway on the road, over the 2 days seen three old Fairways in Norfolk/Suffolk...P reg black near Oulton, P reg green Thetford, Burgendy near Thetford...I was going to say to say bit like buses....

It's the same heater fitted to MGBs etc and they were pretty hopeless in them.
If you say a blue one with the crappy chrome and rust bumpers in Lowestoft/Yarmouth area, thats me give me a wave.

There will be very few fairways left in london due to 15 year rule(age limit) as for clearing front windscreen you have to open front windows and drive with cloth in hand :D Take the pipes of the heater box under bonnet and give a blast through with jetwash, good luck

I was in the metropolis the other day and I saw no less than 2 different fairways, both plated. Didn't recall seeing any Vitos but then they don't really stick out as a cab. I wonder if a Vito driver looses any business driving a vehicle that doesn't look like what a cab should look like...

yeah, me with the winsscreen de-icer button (no scraping thanks), electric mirrors, rear wiper, and aircon when it gets warmer, also central locking, cruise control, 6 (yes SIX) gears, you with no heater...PMSL

my gaffer tape is newer than your whole car (and worth more) I heard your V5 was in latin....
