Post subject:  Fairway gearbox problem

After climbing a very steep hill my fairway is reluctant to change out of first or second gear.Usually stopping and moving the lever a dozen or so times will get it to work properly again.
The levels are correct and the fault doen't depend on temperature.
It only does it on one hill near me that is very steep Im worried it might start doing it on others, any ideas?.

Is it man or auto??
If auto get the fluid and more importantly the filter inside the box changed, as it could be clogged up stopping the fluid from circulating.
This can be done without removing the box

Thanks for the replies,I was sort of hoping it was something they were known for and that there was an easy fix.
I'll try cleaning out the filter and if that doesn't work I'll send it off to a box doctor.
