I wish 2 sources could agree im being told 180,000 or ten years and at the same time 110,000 or 7 years |

Every 70000 recommended for the Pug E7 with the same engine. I wouldn't trust doing over 100000 with the same belt. Better to change the belt sooner than have to replace an engine

our lads got a C4 VTR 1600cc petrol, thats 80,000 |

Yes, the figures do seem very high, but cambelt change intervals have been gradually increasing over the years. I'm sure there are more reliable sources on the internet for this kind of thing rather than relying on here though. |

Yeah I just did timing belt on my E7 cos I didn't trust the dealer to have done it before I took delivery (cab bought 2nd hand with 70,000 on it and belt was just about due). Changed water pump too, crazy not to as it's only 20 quid
