Does anyone have a copy of a fairway driver workshop manual for sale?

Any help much appreciated

Is the lt1 manual worth getting for a fairway? , is there much difference between the electrics, I want the manual for the wiring schematic.

Thanks in advance

I don't know about the electrics,I'd guess they are similar, just more relays and switches to go wrong.

I took your advice and ordered the LT1. Manual off ebay. £ 3.99 is a little better than £20 .

Thanks for the advice.

I hope you get some benefit out of it.I found the section on the gearbox handy as they seem quite unique. The glow plug system is well explained to and helps you understand all the clicking and light flashing thats part of starting the engine.

Had a look through it and the engine and gearbox will be of use. The electrical systems looks different, which is a shame as I'm still arsing with the central locking.

If anyone wants to go Dutch on the£20 fairway driver cd version .... Drop us a pm.

I found with my fairway that the wires going into the doors (near the hinges) can break internally and give problems. On mine the door window on the passengers side packed in and another time the door lock refused to work. Each time the wire had broken internally where it flexes as the door is opened and closed.
It might help you to check the wires for continuity.
I've noticed too that turning the key in the drivers side lock slowly doesn't engage/dis-engage the locks,it needs to be turned quickly.Just about everything on a fairway suffers from water getting in where it shouldn't maybe there's corrosion on or in the lock.

Thanks for the heads up, I watched it sell for £83.50 (+£10P&P) which is the most expensive manual I've heard of........

To be honest other than the wiring, which seems half the time to have no logical purpose, there isn't that much thats difficult about fairways.
Most of the stuff is prettty simple and agricultural compared to most modern vehicles.
