Hello there I'm a 46 yr old Fairway Driver, and owner living in Sweden. Finding spares for the Fairway over here can be a bit..tricky I was trawling the www-waters the other day, looking for the green o/d lightbulb. That's when i thought it would be really handy if there was a thread here about where all the various bits and bobs actually originate from. The headlights are standard 7" fitted to minis and others? Rear lights are from something 1100 or other? Instrument binnacle comes from a Metro??? etc. etc. It would be great if we could include items that are interchangeable to, I read here that a seat from the Scorpio is a good replacement for the drivers seat. So what do you think? Good idea or You can turn of that computer now.. Best of luck come Friday!!! All the BEST! /Magnus |

The rear lights are from the later 1100,1300. Front lights are standard 7 inch. Door handles (and as far as I know most of the lock mechanism) are ford transit. The dash boardis (I think) the same as a Sherpa. Heater motor is MGB (or same as other early Leyland cars). Engine is 2.7 nissan as fitted to cabstar, and various other nissan (inc 4 x 4). Early chrome bumpers were ford consul, later chrome ones as supplied by a certain spares specialist are made of chrome covered marzipan. Headlight rims are same as eraly mini and Morris 1000. |

Like most black cabs, they're a hotchpotch of whatever parts were cheapest at the time. Mostly leyland and ford, with a few other bits. |

Me again I wonder if the wheels are to be found on other cars? I might be able to find them over here in Sweden if i know what to look for...Iveco van?? The cab will be SORNed this winter as i need time to sort a few things out. Not having the four extra wheels for winter tyres made it an easy decision, that and the road salt + the £700 road tax All the BEST! Magnus |

The front suspension swivels are as fitted to some early jags (on the rear apparently). Exhaust rubbers are same as ford. Wiper mechanism I'm sure is BMC but I can't identify the model. Floor boards are B and Q. |
