Bollocks - cable just snapped! I noticed this fraying but never got round to sorting it.

How the heck do I open the bonnet now? Will it be obvious if I get down under the front bumper?

Put your hand under front bumper and you can release by pulling on the cable thats between the two bonnet stops.Pull down on it and it will release.

Do you think he managed, or is he still trying?

Boot not yet open though haven't gotten round to trying properly yet. I did have a brief look under the front bonnet though and didn't see any cable to tug on - is this supposed to be what is left of the old cable because I am confident that that snapped off very close to the release mechanism, so there won't be any useful 'extra' bit hanging down.

So, is it a different cable altogether or else what can I do to pop the 'hood? New release cable is now on the way...!

Cheers gents.
