 Post subject: tx11 starter motor

hi all,new on here,
i have a problem with the starter motor on my lti tx11 and need to replace it, but i am not quite sure how to go about it as access is quite tight,can anyone shed any light on this job,??

hi mate
not to sure how easy the fitting is had mine changed couple months ago, but one thing that i do know if you dont already is that the starter motor is the same as a 2.0diesel mondeo 2001-2007 model, i got one out of the breakers for 40.00 quid had it fitted by my mechanic and fingers crossed been working a treat since beggining of october this year

be warned.... a failing starter on a Tdci/Tddi (i.e. Mondeo Duratorq) can be the 1st signs of a failing DMF, the swarf gets attracted by the starters magnetic field and what looks like a £50 becomes a £650 job...
