Hello all! The first of March is when summer arrives where i live Wheeeel... that's when our cab is let out to play after one (cab-)boring winter. We took the ferry to Denmark and drove along the coast down to Copenhagen. One lovely day, the sun was shining non-stop I did however notice that the red grab handles have gone a bit sticky.. A secure grip, yes, but i don't want to see my friends and family being dragged along as i drive away.. Is there a fix that You know about, I cant seem to find replacements in any of the web shops selling taxi parts. Also, are front window rubbers all the same, i am thinking of fixing the window leak once and for all(?) so i want a good quality, supple rubber Thank You and All the BEST! Magnus |

Don't laugh, but I found baby wipes excellent for cleaning my very sticky steering wheel! Please let us know if they work on your grab-handles. Chris. |

As well as tools,we sell a lot of gloves and clothing in rubber and PVC,for commercial trawlers I hasten to add. We find the answer after cleaning is to make sure they are totally dry, even dusting with french chalk helps to stop them feeling tacky. |

Top Tips I.ll try them both today. Baby wipes on the nearside and talcum powder on the offside. Takes me back 18 yrs to when the kids were running round in nappies I'll be back with the result. All the BEST! /Magnus |

They worked a treat, both of them The talcum powder was an instant fix, albeit at the cost of slightly paler handles. The baby wipes worked first time on the less sticky handles, and required a second go on the stiiicky ones. Thank You all

I took mine off and gave them a good soak in warm soapy water followed by a rub with a stiff sponge. They are (almost) like new. |
