Fixing few problems on our 1996 fairway today, including solving the lights/electrical problem (see earlier post) - problem was a hidden fuse someone had set up away from main fuse box. Fiddling about ( trying to get all the switch lamps working) we managed to lose voltage to rear electric windows. Anyone know where the fuses are for these? What is the setup for the windows? Common faults? Now both not working. Previously had one working or the other at different times. Help greatly appreciated! |

The original fuse for the rear windows is the bottom row far right which is a 25 amp fuse so first id check that, otherwise youd have to follow the wire to see if youve any power there |

Is it relatively common for fairways to have electric windows other than just the drivers? Is retro fit possible?. |

Most cabs after about 94 had electric in the front both sides, but only few special/gold models had in back.Took the rear out in mine as its one more thing for passengers to feck about with !They can be retro fit if youve got drivers side your more than likely to have passenger aswell, probally fitted the springs when motor went, cheaper to replace. Also with all electric your fecked if you lock yourself out !! Easy to force non electric windows down

Thanks for that.I just have the electric passengers side front window as electric. I thought of adding a motor to the drivers side. I can imagine the rear windows going up and down like yo yos with boozy passengers on a saturday night!. |

Basic is best, the amount of people who pull ashtrays, grab handles ect just to try and open door ! Anything to press or fiddle with goes, even disconnect the rear heater controls, now if you want heat have to ask

I'd agree with Blackpool, basic is better! That's half the reason I like my cab so much |
