| Post subject: | No Battery light |
Any advice please, No battery light when I turn ignition, Has new alternator and Battery. Battery is not charging when engine is revved. P.S. Posted copy of Workshop Manual her for anyone who wants it http://tinyurl.com/WorkshopManual |

Have you checked the battery light bulb,if gone/blown it will drain battery |

Yes, bulb needs to be intact to kick alternator into action. Also check the thin wire (blue perhaps, not sure) on the plug ( if yours has one) that goes into the back of the alternator, make sure this is connected and good contact, This is the wire that feeds the bulb. |

I have never heard this before. Is it the same for all cars or just these?[/quote] Probably just older types with actual bulbs and not modern ones with LEDs and everything controlled by an ECU. |
