Just a quick question, I've been over 20m trying to disconnect speedo cable from instrument panel, if I knew whether or not it unscrewed, just pulled, or squeezzed or what I could apply a bit more force, but don't want to break off the connector, anyone remember how it comes off.

Thanks - Squeeze and pull worked. Would you believe it Battery indicator bulb had gone - no I mean literally gone, not there, no holder, no bulb, just a hole where it is supposed to be, all the others are there, it's just the battery bulb and holder that is missing - the guy I bought it from 2 weeks ago, said he bought a new battery and alternator for it, now the battery is flat and alternator is not charging.

The other indicator bulbs are only held in by a twist, surprised more haven't fallen out - now to find someone with a spare for sale. Unless someone knows another way around it.

Thanks, got one from local Halfords before reading this, was more than twice your price. Anyway, Battery charged, but bulb doesn't go out when revving just dims a bit. Whats the next stop, new alternator I suppose, (was told it was a new one). And I believed second hand taxi salesmen never lied.
