| Post subject: | Buying a second Fairway forspares!? |
Hoi-Hoi I got an estimate from a reputable garage for repairing the bonnet that opened rather violently on the motorway "-The beer tastes a lot better in London i'm sure...wink, wink" That's an honest estimate As my list of "wants" grows, it dawned on me that it might be wiser to fly over to London and buy one. Then stuff it full of the other bits I need. I'll save on one (rather costly) ferry crossing, and there's only so much that will fit in the back of our lovely cab anyway. I noticed an ad from Cricklewood Carriers Cab Co. in the latest LVTA magazine. They are selling off their Fairway cabs at a fixed price of £1K plus VAT, serviced & MOT'd Or there's always eBay again, worked out fine last time Then there's the question of trying to find a one, or two-stop shop for bits'n bobs. Perhaps a roof rack just in case, L.Rover was it?? A trip to Bristol is in the cards as well, can't leave without a couple of pints of my favourite tipple, Bath Ales. Ohh! And Fuller's in London of course. A Black Cab Stout, or twelve... and... and... Get to the ferry man!!! Suggestions more than welcome Thank You and all the BEST! /Magnus Thankfully my dear wife replied "let's go this summer" when I suggested the idea

All well cared for 15 year old cabs are off the road in London you might get one that needs nothing doing to it for a while |

There's still a very few Fairways left. P159SHV spotted last week plated 'till 03.02.14!! And R233SLH has 'till 13.12.13. Always supposing nothing serious breaks, I guess. |
