I recently replaced the starter on my Fairway. For only a few quid extra I was offered a modified unit rewound to provide a higher power.
I thought I'd give it a try as my engine is somewhat reluctant to start in very cold weather due to general wear and old age.
The unit spins the engine over at a fearsome rate (at least it would do but it seems to frighten the engine so much that it fires almost instantly).
So far,I'm very pleased with the results.
