Anyone else got one of these? If only I knew what it did, switches on sports mode perhaps. . Perhaps the Stig has one in his Fairway, (just seen the video at http://fairwaydriver.org)

I have one on mine, except for on the rear facing panel. On closer inspection, it isn't connected to anything, however there used to be an alarm/immobiliser retrofit under the centre divider - perhaps it disabled that... |

Perhaps it's a self destruct device which Boris has made them fit.When they're fifteen years old you turn it and the whole thing automatically falls to bits. |

You don't need to turn a key for them to fall to bits, they self destruct themselves

Turned key and it opened a cash box full of solid gold coins - then I woke up OK, alarm imobilser seems most likely. Wished I'd never asked now, it was far more fun not knowing.
