Hi all

My tx2 developed a knocking noise today as you rev the engine the knock gets worse ,engine is full of oil cab still drives ok a few times as I pulled away it felt down on power for a split second ,there is no smoke when you put your foot down ,has anyone else had a problem like this ,I have been told it could be the solenoid on the fuel pump of an injector

thanks col

Well I found the problem thanks to a diesel fitter who works on transit vans ,it was over fueling due to the solenoid going on the fuel pump ,good bit of work involved and a special tool needed to hold the pulley in place but its all back together and running fine ,hope this may help someone else ,the advice I got was it could be the pump but its worth doing the solenoid 1st as a pump is around £600 and the solenoid is way way less
