Ok it aint a taxi. Bought Weeman a 52 plate 1.2 Renault Clio - its his first car and its low mileage, however there's a problem with the indicators. I love the left indicator - when you press the stalk down to go left it flashes really well. I hate the right indicator - when you push the stalk up the indicate right the left indicator flashes (this is going to be a bit of an issue with fellow motorists). The car has had a new indicator stalk fitted and I also replaced the hazard warning switch. Driving the car last night it seemed to correct itself and all the indicators were working correctly until I got home. Any ideas?? |

Actually we have had a problem with one of our megane's. When using the indicators and pressing the brake pedal the back lights used to do all sorts of things, except what they were supposed to do. We found that there was a bit of corrosion on the terminals where the plug fitted into the light cluster. We made a temporary fix by cleaning the terminals and lubricating with Vaseline. In the end we had to get a new light cluster. It wasn't very expensive and fixed the problem. It may be worth a look. |
