Was wandering if anyone knows what's the best diagnostic software/hardware for a TX2 05 taxi

if its the Ford Duratorq Tddi then Formidable F-super (£17) if you have a laptop

Got the F Super on Ebay and got the Formidable on free download it came with a Trojan but managed to clean it up ok, don't know if the Formidable software will work with the cable but will let you know.

you should only need the software on the disc that came with it

there was older software that worked better on my mondeo (Tdci as against your TDdi?)


i used to connect it all up, have it on then put the ignition on but sometimes its a pig to get communicationg with the car

Connected first time gave me DTC's P0404 EGR problem and P1342 pedal demand sensor A, will have to do a bit of work to find out how to fix these.

*but check the reading for pedal position as you push the pedal down in live data

Have cleared the codes will give it a few working days and read again, as far as replacing the pedal its a whole pedal assembly, sensor must be attached somewhere will have to hunt for it.

£70 new on a 55 plate Tourneo.....cos i had to have one
