If you check the reviews for it ( I'm sure you have) you will see that some people rave about while others swear it caused problems. Personally, I think it can remove deposits off one component, where it's harmless and leave it on something else where it can cause problems. A bit like using an engine flush on an old engine that hasn't been regularly flushed.
I think prevention is better than cure. Use good quality oil, change it regular, (every 10,000) using an engine flush. I only ever use branded fuel and every third fill is Shell V-power. If you have an EGR valve and it can be blanked off without tripping an EML, do it.

Swad diesels used a treatment on my Mondreado TDci, it goes in the turbo inlet, and causes massive amounts of smoke/steam as it exits the exhaust, it worked but not for long

The only additive I've ever found that works is a small dose of two stroke oil in diesel fuel. The engine runs quieter and smoother.
I you want smoke and steam out of the exhaust just spray a fine mist of water in the intake,too much and you'll blow the engine though.

I tried Millers, Forte, STP, and 2 stroke, they all did a little but not a lot, Forte was the best but no MPG increase, just a quieter engine

Going in for Terraclean next Wednesday.

I have had trouble with lack of power on and off for a few years. Thought it was the Turbo (nobody was certain), to get over the problem the swirls/butterflies were tied back (on whatever) to allow air through from the turbo - and it worked.

Anyway now it does not work, the general synopsis is that the air inlets/engine/whatever is carboned up stopping the air getting through. It drives, but is struggling up the slightest gradient, as such it is not fit for work. I suppose in old speak......it needs a de-coke!

This system (Terraclean) has been recommended as being good and might just do the trick, unfortunately for me it is a last resort before some serious money either goes out replacing the engine, Or another vehicle, Or maybe pack it in altogether.

Rang up our local Eurocarparts to check availibality to be told it was £17.99......pointed out that it was £13.99 online incl delivery! Okay.........we can do it for £13.80 #-o Got one and will give it a try [-o<

make sure you mix it with 1 or 2 gall of diesel...no more...it eats carbon.......you probably will have to have the egr cleaned separately..

The online prices are set by a central warehouse and can vary between outlets, although I've found they usually match the online price.
If you order online and collect you pay the online price but then you may lose out on any discounts the local place is doing !
Also if you say your a taxi they often give a trade discount, I bought £200 worth of stuff once and got £60 off 8)

Took it out and gave it a good 35 minute thrashing mainly due to the turbo refusing to kick in unless the revs were screaming. At times plenty of smoke so I guess it was chucking something out, unfortunately the engine does not feel smooth and limped up the hill going back home..........still one sick motor.

I saw and interesting bit of kit on Wheeler Dealers last night but for petrol engines only i think

Ed had a Jak XK8 with a hydrocarbon reading of 500, his machine cleared all the carbon and crap out the fuel system, injectors and exhaust and the reading dropped to 60 (500 was a MOT failure)

Any light oil will have pretty much the same (temporary effect) if you trickle it in slowly with the engine running it temporarily raises compression to blow out loose carbon etc. The smoke coming out of the back is the oil you've added being burnt not old waste products being blown out of the exhaust.
