When you open the back doors the courtesy light is supposed to come on and "door open" beeping. But I have noticed over the last couple of days when passenger open the doors there's a big delay before it starts to beep and the courtesy light comes on instead if it being instant.

If i run my hand down by the switch on the doors it comes on then and beeps like it should.. but its doing it on both doors so i don't think its the switches on the doors to both go ant once... so could it be the relay in fuse box?

There like a rubber type switch but i will have a look if i can get that off but, i think its a complete unit. Its the ones on the door frame/sill

Common Fault on the TXs, The metal on where the switch sits gets very corroded with rust and causes a bad earth

Try to take the switch off, you'll probably find it hard to take the screw out. Try Phillips screwdriver head on rachet. Once the switch is off, give the metal a right good going over with WD40 and a wire brush or a scrape with a flat head screw driver.

Test the system with the switch against the metal. Put some copper grease on the screw to stop it seizing and hi presto.

Sorry if that Granny sucking eggs etc
