Just wondering if anybody knows what silver paint did LTI use in and around 2002? on tx's.. tx2

Not on a TX 1/2/4 you won't.......But seeing as I an in a good mood.... It is under the brake servo .you have to undo the nut's inside the cab...then pull the servo away from the bulkhead.....it is painted on it.....but don't tell anyone :roll:
one is glacier green....another is a BMW colour..40707412

Thanks for that, however looking inside the drivers door underneath the tyre pressure info there's a sticker with platinum Silver with a code of VAGLB7Z don't no if its been put there by factory or somebody has printed something and stuck it on

I think Platinum Silver was a TX2 model.

It is a tx2 cab, still can't find anything online with that code though ..or even platnium silver lol

I know it doesn't help but my TX2 is Nightfire Red and its a Rover colour dating back to the ninties.

Try going into halfrauds and look through the spray paints, pick out all the silvers and find Platnum silver.

I heard one of the blue's is a rover colour too.. so its a good chance its a rover colour then if they used a lot of them?

I am only guessing mate but maybe they had a deal with Rover back in the day. Bad thing about Nightfire Red is that there is 4 shades these days!!


Have you phoned up Mann and Overton, or your local dealer/service agent and asked. They gave me mine.

No i haven't tried that. I haven't had it long dont really know where the local dealer is.. there's couple specs of rust on the wheel arch i wanted to sort out as its getting dryer and warmer.

Its defiantly platinum silver as when i google LTI platinum silver the cabs are identical colour.. i know its only a picture but as rough idea. Just the code doesn't match anything lol.

Location: Used to be in Lowestoft,now escaped.
It seems that LTI always used traditional Leyland/Rover Group colours. Presumably they now use Chinese made ones.
